  • FLMD is preparing to go live some time in December (tentatively the week of 12/17/18) with the new gate system that controls access to the FLMD garbage and slash facilities. As you may know, illegal dumping and unauthorized use of the facilities has increased over the years and the new gates have been installed as a control measure for these FLMD facilities.  The following provides some guidelines and instruction for the gate system.  A key fob is a small electronic security device with built-in authentication protocols or mechanisms to allow whoever possesses it to enter the secured location in order to access services.
  1. Only one Key fob will be activated and issued for any property.
  2. An authorized user can be a property owner or an individual who has been authorized by the owner to receive the key fob and use trash/slash services.
  3. If anyone but the owner wants a key fob, permission must be granted from the owner with his or her signature on the use form.
  4. Vacant lot owners will be required to pay the occasional trash fee for the use of the facilities beyond the gates and to receive a fob.
  5. First KEY FOB is free and any replacement for lost key fobs will be $20.00.
  6. Upon change in ownership of property or when tenants leave the rental property, old key fobs must be returned.   A new agreement will be created for new authorized users.
  7. The hours of use for the garbage and slash facilities are not changed.
