Forest Lakes Subdivision has a character that is very similar to other subdivisions that are located in a mountain terrain, and it has a scenic beauty with a lot of character and charm.  The purpose of the FLMD Design Standards and Guidelines is to guide the general form of commercial buildings within Forest Lakes Subdivision to compliment that character and to ensure a cohesiveness to the surrounding area.

Our long-term goal is that the Design Standards and Guidelines will provide clear and concise direction to designers of commercial buildings in order to promote quality and preserve value.  In anticipation of the possible construction of the new office in Forest Lakes Subdivision, we specifically developed these standards and guidelines for that project, but this document will be used for all future commercial buildings.
